In the 50‘s and 60’s, with the tourist boom on the Costa Brava, the Anlló brothers, entrepreneurs born in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, opened some hotels in the town focused on local tourism and business travellers. One of them was the Hotel Avenida, today our hostel, which later became part of the intestate inheritance of these brothers and remained closed for many years until the administration was able to sell the property and it was completely refurbished.
We have acquired this property to give continuity to this hotel project and as we usually do in Salats’hh, all our hostels are refurbished with our own unique style and Mediterranean character.
The Rambla del Portalet, located next to our hostel and our use of the ‘salat’ way of speaking are the origin of our name.
Hostal Boutique Es Portalet is located in the centre of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, between narrow streets full of restaurants and shops and only 200 metres from the beach.
It is undoubtedly one of the most popular places on the Costa Brava for its wide variety of leisure and cultural activities: gastronomic fairs, cultural, sporting and musical events fill the calendar of Sant Feliu de Guíxols and invite everyone to enjoy this town all year round.
